Community of Life on Earth

I feel so strongly the need for us all to recognize the community of life we are all a part of on Earth. Human unity, unity of nations, unity of all forms of gender expression, unity and respect for our cultures, our freedom to be ourselves, unity with all life forms, the oceans and all life in the ocean, the forests, sacred ecosystems of diversity and intelligence, one life, one breath one heart.

We have all been given this gift of life. It is the same gift just as we are all equal in the eyes of the creator who gave us life and continues to support and nurture us through the holy body of the earth. However, within this gift, we have come to perceive ourselves as separate. I do not believe this is any kind of failing on either God or humanity’s part, but rather a part of development and evolution that makes it possible for us to have free will and to be an individual. Compassion is needed here. I look for this in myself. Being on Earth involves coming into this plane of duality and density. With this our ego self has formed out of part of our development of self. It is our sense of self, individuality, that which keeps us separate much of the time from those around us. It acts often out of fear, which comes from feeling separated from the unity of life, and out of a sense of survival.

I am speaking of this here because it is this separated part of us, that we all need to look at. It is the need to control, to separate, to defend, to define, to be right. It is this that keeps us from seeing and perceiving the larger whole and interconnection with all that is. With all of our human family, with all life on Earth. Our own freedom to live and to express the uniqueness that is us, does not have to take the form of domination of another. Because in this sense, we will never be truly free or whole because we have asserted our own self over someone else, taking their freedom and acting from a place of ego, not of our deeper nature that desires freedom, peace and love. Our deeper self that is freedom, peace and love. It wants to be expressed.

Take a moment now, with all of the innocents you can muster. You purity. You as a baby or small child. Look at this life! Your thinking did not get you here or create this miracle. You are part of the Earth, part of life, here on purpose. The universe and earth are working to sustain your life right now. You belong to the truest power. This is the power of love that fuels creation. You do no need to dominate the earth or any other human being or any animal because everything is given. If we stop taking, more will be given to all. We can also give back. We can give of ourselves, from love and gratitude and recognition of all that has been given.

We belong together because we are here. It is as simple as this, and yet we have many beliefs and feelings from the old that are based in separated perception and I am asking each of us to really look at this inside ourselves, to root out anything that is not love and look at our world with new eyes.
